Michael Lopez played the lead in the new movie, The Poetry Lesson produced by Marlo Films. The Poetry Lesson was accepted to The Danville International Children's Film Festival May 20-22, 2005, and The San Diego International Children's Film Festival (October 2005). He also got accepted to Professional Performing Arts School, which starts in Sept. '05. There were only 20 seats out of over one thousand submissions for Drama alone, and Michael was one of the few who were accepted! Michael also just booked a network commercial for Kmart! Michael recently wrapped commercials for both Fannie Mae and Target. They are currently airing on TV. Michael was also in a 15 minute short for Showtime. The film is entitled "When I Grow Up," and was directed by George Valencia. Michael plays the lead in this short film, which will air on Showtime in September of 2004. Marlo Films LLC is also shooting a documentary entitled "The Making Of A Child Star," a film about Michael Lopez's experiences in Show Biz. This documentary will show how Michael has been successful as an actor and a model. It gives you insight on how Michael handles being in the spotlight, and how a child actor can be successful in Show Biz, as well as in school, socially and at home. Michael also recently had a supporting role with Anthony Michael Hall in the film, Funny Valentine. And to top it all off, Michael was just inducted in the 7th grade Honor Society in I.S. 119 in Queens N.Y. The sky's the limit! |
